Labanya Ghosh

Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy

PLAY THERAPIST

Labanya completed her Play Therapy training with Play Therapy United Kingdom (validated by University of Chichester), one of two leading NGOs globally in therapeutic arts for working with children.

Labanya works with children between 4 to 12 years, emphasizing that early intervention can lead to better outcomes in areas like academic success, social skills and overall well-being as well as create a strong foundation for a healthier adulthood.

She believes in partnering closely with parents and other key figures in a child’s life to foster holistic change and growth.

Grounded in attachment theory and neuroscience, Labanya’s child- centred approach combines different forms of expressive arts and celebrates each child’s autonomy and creativity. Labanya has experience with children from diverse backgrounds, addressing issues like hyperactivity, anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, and the effects of trauma, such as separation or grief.

In her Play Therapy Room, Labanya welcomes every child, no matter how messy or tough their situation, promising to stand by them as they work through their emotional, behavioural, social or relational challenges.

Additionally, Labanya is a certified Dyslexia Teacher through the Sounds in Syllables (SIS) programme by the Maharashtra Dyslexia Association.
